ABOUT US

VetChip is committed to setting a new benchmark for global animal healthcare standards. With collaboration at our core, our mission is a world of healthier animals, happier owners and empowered vets.

VetChip is a West Australian biotechnology company redefining animal health and welfare through pioneering technology, proactive health monitoring systems, data analytics and disease detection. VetChip was created to detect abnormal health parameters in animals who cannot tell us when they are unwell.

Animal advocate Dr. Garnett Hall, a veterinarian who saw firsthand the frustration vets experienced every day, became inspired by the concept of human smart technologies like Fitbit and how its integration into animal health could potentially redefine how animals are treated and looked after.

Together with his brother, equine specialist surgeon Dr. Maxwell Hall and some of WA’s most skilled and experienced engineers - Zyrus Khambatta, Ross Khambatta, Dilesh Wadia and Pendar Dalili, VetChip was founded in 2019.

After overcoming significant technical challenges, 2020 saw VetChip successfully develop a fully working prototype – the first of its kind in the world!

Committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation, VetChip’s multi-award-winning technology continues to garner industry recognition and government backing as the company forges towards global commercialisation and a goal to raise standards of care for a world of healthier, happier and more fulfilled animals.
